Meet Dr. Patterson
Dr. Nakeyau Patterson is a wife, mother, author, educator, and advocate for belonging and fairness in education. She writes children’s stories, family guides, and educator resources that encourage meaningful conversations at home and at school.
Her work draws on experience in elementary and inclusive classrooms, adult learning, and higher education. She holds a current Postgraduate Professional teaching license issued by the Virginia Board of Education.
Her education includes a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.), an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special and Gifted Education.
Her specialized preparation includes twice exceptionalities, transition and special needs, gifted education, and special education general curriculum.
